"Home Sweet Home"

Abigail is finally home! She was discharged from the hospital Friday, August 17th. She now weighs 4 pounds 3.8 ounces and is 16 1/2 inches long. She came home with an apnea monitor and oxygen if she needs it. She will be followed by several doctors, but is doing well considering her prematurity. Mommy & Daddy are so excited to finally have their precious baby girl home! Thank you for all of your prayers & support!

Abigail gets her first bath by Mommy & Daddy. One of the nurses gave Abigail her own personalized tub.

This is a picture of Daddy holding Abigail in the "Care by Parent room." The "Care by Parent" is a hotel type room set up in the back of the neonatal intensive care unit in which the parents stay with the baby the night before the baby is discharged home. The nurses are right outside if they are needed and the room is set up like a hospital room, just with a queen size bed for the parents.

Thanks for the comment! I have been checking your blog 1-2x a week. I am so excited Abigail is home! I know those sleepless nights are hard, but they are the best bonding time! If you ever need to vent- you always have an ear with me! -Megan
