"March for Babies"

Today was the March of Dimes "March for Babies" walk for the Houston Northwest area. I signed up to walk with my playgroup and a friend who also had a premature baby. Thanks to several sponsors, I was able to raise $1,000 towards the research that March of Dimes funds. Thank you to those of you who were so generous to donate money to such a worthy cause! The March of Dimes asked for preemie pictures and stories because they were given a $500 grant from a sign company in the area to make 20 posters featuring preemie babies. Abigail was chosen to have her pictures and story be on a poster that was placed at the registration area for the walk along with about 19 other preemie babies!

"Spring Time in Texas"

It's hard to believe that my baby girl is 9 months old! Abigail weighs 15 lbs. 13 oz, but is only 24" long! Abigail is in the 5-10% in weight, but isn't on the charts yet in length! She has her first tooth and is working on another one! Abigail is trying to crawl, it's only a matter of time until she'll be all over the place! She is eating solids twice a day now and we will soon be moving to three times a day! It seems like she changes and learns something new everyday! Abigail is a very happy baby and loves people! She thinks she's supposed to be the center of everyone's attention at all times, we have a diva on our hands! Abigail has really started to babble! I'm working with her on waving, clapping, and baby sign language! However, we haven't mastered any of these new skills.
