"First Time Swimming!"

Having kids makes you do things you never imagined yourself doing! For example, putting pictures of yourself in a swimsuit with no make-up on the internet for all to see! About two weeks ago, James & I took Abigail swimming for the first time at Mimi & Honey's house. Abigail loved swimming! She automatically started kicking her legs and splashing the water up with her hands! What a smart baby! This past week, we had a swim playdate with our playgroup! We all had so much fun!

"My First Mother's Day & Abigail's Baby Dedication"

Well, yesterday was my first Mother's Day and Abigail's baby dedication at our church. Words can't express the joy of motherhood! I never really understood my parents unconditional love for me until I became a parent myself. Children are such an amazing gift from God! My mom & I hunted for the perfect little dress for Abigail to wear for her baby dedication and we also had to buy some cute little shoes and a bow to match. When it came time to get Abigail dressed Sunday morning, her shoes did not fit! Oops, I guess we should have tried them on before buying them. I think James thought I was about to have a melt down so he tried to force them on Abigail's little foot, tearing the shoe in the process. Abigail has a little foot, but is in between sizes and there is no such thing as a 1/2 size for babies. It wasn't worth the worry, so I decided Abigail would be just as cute with bare feet! Although, when we were on stage with the 50 other babies being dedicated Abigail was chewing on her precious little dress! So, plastered on the big screen during the baby dedication is my little girl eating her dress! Of course, she was still the most beautiful baby girl on that stage! The Fehrle Family

"Look What I Can Do!"

Abigail has mastered the art of crawling and pulling up! Yup, she's on the move now! A few weeks ago I left the room and she was not happy so she followed me into the kitchen crawling. However, she was fussing the whole way like I was making her work to find me! She's got quite a personality! We had our first trip to the minor Emergency Room last weekend. Abigail had a high fever, but no other symptoms and by Sunday she was miserable and pulling on her ear. James & I decided to take her to the St. Luke's minor Emergency Clinic, so we could have Abigail checked out. Abigail has an upper respiratory infection and fluid behind one of her ears. So, we are having to do the breathing treatments ounce again. Abigail now weighs in at 16 pounds 12 ounces! She is just growing and changing everyday! She does say "Da Da", however, she says it all the time and not in reference to her Daddy. We will keep working on "Ma Ma"! Ha! Ha!
