"Surgey Post Poned!"

Abigail has continued to have fever off and on all week!  Last night, her fever was 102 and it took over and hour and a lukewarm bath before her fever started breaking!  Abigail still did not have any other symptoms that we could see!  We finally put Abigail to bed at 10 pm last night and then she woke up crying at 12:30 am!  It took over an hour for me to get her to calm down and go back to sleep, it was obvious something was causing her pain!

So, once again this morning, I was back at the doctors' office with Abigail!  It seems like the pediatrician's office gets a lot of our money that's for sure!  The doctor examined Abigail and noticed her throat was red and a little pussy.  Therefore, she ordered more bloodwork and a throat swab!  The tests came back negative for mono and strep!  We won't get the throat culture back until Monday!  However, the doctor wanted to go ahead and treat Abigail for tonsilitis!  Thank goodness, we got an antibiotic!!
As soon as I got home I had to make a phone call to the surgeon's nurse to let them know Abigail was sick!  After she talked with the surgeon, he felt it was best to post pone the surgery until Abigail was well!  Abigail's surgery has been moved to February 18th!  The good news is Abigail is, Abigail's the first surgery that day, so we won't have to worry about her being upset because we can't feed her breakfast!
Please pray that Abigail will start feeling better and that she will stay well for the surgery!  I know that this is all in God's hands!  It's just hard being a parent and feeling helpless when your little one doesn't feel good!!

I love how you always see the silver lining! That is so refreshing. I truly believe there is a reason for the later date. God will do exactly what He needs to do! You are all in my prayers!
