"Rainy Day Fun!"

Last week, Abigail wasn't able to play outside due to the rainy weather!  So, we played inside with silly hats and danced to her children singing videos!  Abigail also rode her rocking horse for the first time!  She got the rocking horse for Christmas from Grandpa, but was too scared to ride the horse!  Abigail was so happy to be outside this weekend when the sun finally came out!  She loves to be outside, not sure what I'm going to do when it's 100 degrees outside!
We take Abigail for her post-op appointment tomorrow morning!  It will be a long morning, but I look forward to hearing a good report from the doctor!  James & I can tell a difference in her energy level and she's growing!  I also think that having the surgery has helped her little immune system!  Next on the agenda, is to find the perfect Easter dress & get some pictures taken with the Easter bunny!  I haven't had professional pics taken of Abigail since November, that's the longest I have gone without getting her pictures taken since she was born!

"Abigail's 1st trip to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo!!"

Last Sunday afternoon, James & I took Abigail to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo!  I have fond childhood memories of my parents taking me to the Rodeo and wanted Abigail to experience the Rodeo!  I especially love Abigail's cute little cowgirl outfit and boots that her Mimi bought for her!
We always park and ride the Metro Rail over to the the Reliant Center because it's some added fun to the trip!  James had to take pictures with all the farm equipment, of course!!  I wonder how many hundreds of pictures I have of James & Abigail sitting on tractors?  Abigail enjoyed looking at the animals, but wasn't about to touch them!  She's such a girl!!  I wanted Abigail to ride the pony, but she had other plans!  Oh well, maybe next year!
I have realized that I'm always the one taking the pictures, so I'm never in the pictures!!  I need to work on making sure I get some pictures with me & Abigail!!
I'm not sure who's having more fun?

Abigail looks like she's really driving the tractor!

Look at me!

Abigail wasn't going to ride the pony!!

"Good Times!!"

We have been spending lots of time outside these last few weeks!  Abigail loves playing outside and really enjoys going to the park!  We love to go to Bear Branch Park in The Woodlands because it's toddler friendly!  Also, for someone like Abigail who is vertically challenged, she's able to play on just about all the play equipment there without my assistance!!
Abigail on the see saw!

My parent's celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary last Sunday!  My siblings and I cooked dinner for them and got them a wedding cake!  Instead of gifts, we decided to give them toasts in honor of their marriage!  My parents have been an amazing example of a Christian marriage!  They truly respect one another and are just as in love today as the day the met!  It's not unusual to find my parents walking hand and hand or cuddling on the couch!  They do everything together and can't stand to be apart!  Thank you Mom & Dad for providing such a wonderful example of a Christian marriage!
This is the whole family minus Holland (my brother-in-law) and my nephew Alec!

My wonderful parents!

This pictures was taken by James while him & Abigail were having a "Daddy Daughter Night!"  James told me they were having a tea party with all of Abigail's babies and stuffed animals, notice they all had to have a purse too!  It's so cute to see James get down on the floor and play silly games to make his little girl happy!!  What a good Daddy!!

"This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine...."

video

Abigail loves music and watches what we call "The Children Singing" videos over and over again!  It's so cute to watch her repeat and sing the songs on her own!  I think she's ready for dance, what do you think?

"Flip This House"

Well, as most of you know if you've been following our blog this past year James & I purchased two investment properties. The first house we got it fixed up and leased within a month. However, the second house which was a foreclosure required much more work. We were finally able to put it on the market the first of December to be leased. Well, we've had lots of lookers but no takers, mainly because it's out of their price range or they were looking for something newer.

James & I watch the real estate market closely and decided lets lower the rent and put it on the market to sell just to see what happens. Obviously, if we're going to sell the house we would need to price it high enough to get back the money we put into and make a profit, but figured we had nothing to lose. We listed the house Monday and by noon on Tuesday we had a contract! We flipped the house!! Well, our first thought was that we didn't price it high enough! I didn't think that flipping a house was possible in The Woodlands, but we did it and made a pretty good profit! So, now it's onto the next adventure...

I did not take any pictures of Abigail this week, so I don't have any to post!! However, I did add a post about Abigail which is titled "God is Good" its below the post about her surgery. You'll have to read it if you haven't already just to see how God has worked in our little girl's life! Stay tuned for more updates on what's going on in the Fehrle home....
